  • 1 Tea Pan
  • 1 Cup
  • Mortar-Pestle

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon Black tea leaves or 2 black tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 4 tablespoons dried rose petals
  • 4 pcs cloves
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Begin the preparation by grinding or crushing the cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, and ginger in a mortar and pestle; then, set them aside.
  • Keep a saucepan on flame, pour water, and add the crushed spices i.e. cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, and ginger.
  • Now it is the turn to introduce rose petals, tea leaves, and sugar to the same saucepan. Keep stirring thoroughly and boiling for 4-5 minutes.
  • To it, add ground cardamom into the mixture, keep on stirring to ensure that it's well-mixed.
  • Add milk and allow it to reach a boil. This may take 2-3 minutes depending on the temperature of milk added.
  • Reduce the flame to low and simmer for 7 minutes.
  • Now, add the rose water (organic) and boil for another 2 minutes.
  • Your tea is ready. Strain the prepared tea and pour it in cups. Serve them with cookies or bread.

Notes

Do not forget to ensure that the rose petals are free from pesticides and thoroughly washed if you are using fresh petals. You may adjust the quantity of honey or sugar to your taste preference.
